Setting Up LAN using Cross Cable...

The steps below are only to set up TWO computers running Windows(XP-2-XP, 7-2-7, XP-2-7) using a cross cable / crossover cable...

Cross Cable / Crossover Cable...
First step of all, you should have a crossover cable, which is also known as cross cable... If you dont have one, dont worry, i will show you how to do, step-by-step... As I am writing this for home use, I am not going to arrange the colour codes according to the real one... Now, grab a network cable and cut the insulator skin two inch from the end of that network cable... Now, you can see eight small wires, twisted to form four twisted wires... If you see the twisted wires, they all are twisted in a pair and have the same colour codes... Green with White Green and Orange with White Orange... Now, untwist all the wires and place them so that they form a row without any gaps... Now arrange one end of the cable in this order : Blue, WBlue, Orange, WOrange, Green, WGreen, Brown, WBrown... After arranging it according to its order, cut the excess wires one inch from the insulator and make sure it is uniform in length... Then insert it into a RJ-45 connectors [the one more wider than normal telephone connectors] with the metal pins facing you... Insert it and make sure that the small wires stay in order and crimp it... In the other end, do the same thing, cut the insulator, untwist the small wires but arrange them in this order : Orange, WGreen, Blue, WOrange, Green, WBlue, Brown, WBrown... Then, follow the steps above n crimp them too...
Blue - Orange
White Blue - White Green
Orange - Blue
White Orange - White Orange
Green - Green
White Green - White Blue
Brown - Brown
White Brown - White Brown

Now, you've got a cross cable.. Its time to set up your computer to communicate to each other...

Communication Settings..

Install your cross cable between your two computers / laptops... Open Local Area Network Status window on both of the computers... Open Networking tab... Open "properties" of TCP/IPv4... Set up both of the computers so that it will look something like this :

I.P. Address - 192.168.0.1 on PC1 and 192.168.0.2 on PC 2
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 192.168.0.3

Preferred DNS Server - 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS Server - 8.8.4.4

Then, go to Control Panel, double click System find and change the workgroup name into "HOME" ...

Now, both of your computers are communicating... You can enjoy a LAN game by now...

File & Printer Sharing

If both of your computers are using Windows XP OS, go to Network Connections... Create a New Network Connection... Choose the right settings for your computer, and at last, enable file and printer sharing on both computers.... If one of your computer running WinXP and another Win7, do the same step for your WinXP computer... For Windows 7, Open Network and Sharing Center, click HomeGroup on the bottom left of the window, Click the link inside the yellow box and make your LAN Network as your Home Network... Enable File and Printer sharing... Open My Computer and navigate to Networks (bottom left)... You can see whatever files and printers you share at there... To share a file, simply click on the properties of a folder, click sharing tab, click on the "Share" button and click with who you want to share with... If you still have any questions to ask, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on this post... Thank You...

Piratebay at a Glance...

Downloading pirated software is a crime and the downloaders can be punished according to cyberlaw... That is why certain countries had blocked piratebay.org from being accesses by their citizen... But who wouldn't love free softwares.. One day, i came across this site called polysolve.com... This web is providing access to blocked websites across counrties... And yes.. You guessed it... piratebay.org also can be opened via this web... So, please spread your words to your friends to make their life easier... But from my view, we better buy the original one as the company who made it put lots of efforts on it... So, be rational... Thank you...
